P.J. Salvage Recalls Children’s Pajamas Due to Burn Hazard

  The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on Jan. 5, that P.J. Salvage has recalled about 2,650 units of a specific set of children’s pajamas which have failed to meet the federal, flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. A refund is being offered for the returns.   The recalled children’s pajama sets are 65 percent polyester and 35 percent rayon and comprise a two-piece, long-sleeve shirt and pants set. NY Becomes First State to Enact “Right to Repair” Law for Consumers of Digital Electronic Devices

Democratic Assembly Member Patricia Fahy (A.D. 109) and fair repair advocates applauded Gov. Kathy Hochul’s recent signature of the Digital Fair Repair Act, passed this year by the New York State legislature with overwhelming bipartisan support. Norwood News has received as yet unconfirmed reports of a power outage affecting residents in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx in ZIP code 10467. (This is also the ZIP code for Norwood News, and so far, our lights are on.) A user of the Citizens’ App reported on Thursday, Nov 10, at around 6.15 p.m. that, “ConEd reported a power outage affecting customers in ZIP code 10467.”   We contacted Con Edison for a status update and await their response. According to their outage map, there are some outages in New York City and in Mount Vernon it seems.
