The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo and video who is sought in connection to an arson attack that occurred in Fordham Manor. Police said that on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at around 00.10 a.m., a person approached the front of a business located at 2481 Creston Avenue and set fire to garbage outside the location. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (UPC) recalled, on Nov. 23, 270 Indigo-branded “Papa Bear” and “Mama Bear” mugs sold in the U.S. with batch numbers 1220, 0621, 1021 or 0920. A further 29,232 of the mugs were sold in Canada. “Indigo” and the batch number are printed on the bottom of the mugs. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (UPC) recalled 87,000 units of some Bendex-branded, children’s Disney-themed clothing sets on Nov. 23, citing safety concerns. Authorities said the textile ink painted on the recalled clothing sets contains levels of lead that exceed either the federal lead paint ban, or the federal lead content ban, posing a lead poisoning hazard. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. The recall involves Bentex children’s clothing sets in nine different, Disney-themed styles. The item and batch numbers are printed on the clothing neck or side label.

The City’s medical examiner has ruled the death of two people on Aug. 6 in the Pelham Parkway section of The Bronx as a murder-suicide. On Saturday, Aug. 6, at around 9.10 a.m., police from the 49th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an aided individual in front of 720 Pelham Parkway South. “Upon arrival, officers discovered two aided, unconscious individuals at the rear of 2199 Cruger Avenue,” a police spokesperson said. “Officers observed a 35-year-old male and a 28-year-old female, unconscious and unresponsive with injuries indicative of a fall from an elevated position,” the spokesperson added.
