North Riverdale: 21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies following Fatal Road Accident

A 21-year-old male motorcyclist has died following a motor vehicle collision, police said.   On Tuesday, Nov. 29, at around 5.32 p.m., officers from the 50th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding the vehicle collision at the intersection of Broadway and Caryle Avenue, near the north east corner of Van Cortlandt Park and the North Riverdale / Westchester County border.   A preliminary investigation determined that a 47-year-old man was driving a box truck and was making a U-turn at the location. Morris Heights: Search for 70-Year-Old Missing Man

  The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating a 70-year-old man reported missing on Nov. 29, who lives in Morris Heights. It was reported to police that Hector Germosen of 1769 Undercliff Avenue in Morris Heights was last seen on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at approximately 11 a.m., driving a white, 2021 Dodge RAM with a Pennsylvania license plate. UPDATE University Heights: 17-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing Found Safe

The NYPD confirmed on Wednesday evening, Nov. 30, that a 17-year-old girl who had been reported missing from University Heights has been found and is safe.   Prior to being located, it was reported to police that Skylyn Massa of University Avenue in University Heights had last been seen Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 8.40 a.m., leaving her home. She was described as being around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, Hispanic, with a medium build, a light complexion, brown eyes and black hair. She had last been seen wearing a green bubble coat, black sweatpants, and sneakers.

University Heights: Suspect Sought in Non-Fatal Shooting, Victim Struck in Head Area

Officials from the 52nd Precinct are calling on the public to help with an investigation into a non-fatal shooting incident in University Heights.   They said the incident occurred on Nov. 26 at around 2:24 a.m. opposite 138 West Fordham Road. Police said a suspect shot and struck a victim in the head area before fleeing in the pictured vehicle.   A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information in relation to the incident.    Residents are asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS with any information they may have.
