Mt. Hope: Search for Gunman Sought in Multiple Shooting in Both Legs of Second Man

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photo, who is sought for questioning in connection to a non-fatal shooting / assault that occurred in Mt. Fordham Heights: Building Applications Filed with DOB for 2071 Ryer Avenue

Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, 8-story, residential building at 2071 Ryer Avenue in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.   Located between East 180th Street and East Burnside Avenue, the lot is two blocks from the 182nd-183rd Streets subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. St. Patrick’s Home Says “Thank You” to Special Female Veteran Resident on Veterans Day

St. Patrick’s Home Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, located on Van Cortlandt Park South in Norwood, has fifteen veteran residents and all were honored this year by way of a number of celebratory events held at the 264-bed, skilled nursing facility to mark Veterans Day.   One veteran who stood out is the facility’s only female veteran resident, 71-year-old Beverly Bowne. Bowne served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1978 and was a telecommunication specialist assigned to Heidelberg, Germany. According to St. Patrick’s Home representatives, Bowne had a very important duty, working as a communication specialist with the U.S.

Bronx Daycare Worker Charged with Sexually Abusing Two Girls

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Friday, Dec. 2, that a Bronx daycare worker has been charged with sexually abusing two young girls under his care. The victims were allegedly abused over a 5-year period at a family-operated daycare facility.   In the context of the announcement, Clark said, “No child should be subjected to sexual abuse, especially in a place where they should have been safe.
