The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached photos who department officials say are sought in connection with a robbery that occurred in Bedford Park. However, employees at the store later said the incident arose due to a misunderstanding between two employees.   Police said that on Thursday, May 18, at around 11.17 a.m., four male individuals entered the store located at 3276 Jerome Avenue, and attempted to leave with some merchandise without paying.   Police said that a 9-year-old boy died on Sunday in the Mt. Hope section of the Bronx. They said he appears to have fallen out of a window, though the investigation is ongoing. Fordham Heights: Residential Fire Causes No Injuries

No injuries were reported following a fire in Fordham Heights on Friday, May 19, the FDNY said.   A spokesperson for the fire department said they received a call at 10.48 p.m. on Friday for reports of smoke/a fire at 2357 Walton Avenue. The spokesperson said the fire broke out on the first floor of 5-story, multiple dwelling and was brought under control at 11:19 p.m. There were no injuries according to the FDNY. Asked if the cause of the blaze was established, the FDNY spokesperson said the cause was not yet known.      

Kingsbridge: Man Robbed, Assaulted with Machete & Hit with Car

A 36-year-old man was robbed by a machete-wielding male suspect in Kingsbridge.
