The NYPD announced on Monday, May 23, that a second person, an 18-year-old male, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 11-year-old, Kyhara Tay, in the South Bronx. Bronx Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Soundview School Slashings Amid DV Incident

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Monday, Jan. 16, that a Bronx man has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree and other related charges for barging into P.S. 69 Journey Prep with a knife and slashing two staff members. Mott Haven: 27-Year-Old Man Dies following Park Shooting

  Police said a 27-year-old man has died in Mott Haven, following a gunshot wound to the head.   On Saturday, May 14, at around 2 a.m., police said they responded to a call regarding a person who had been shot inside Joyce Kilmer Park, located at the corner of East 161st Street and the Grand Concourse.   Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head, unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and transported the man to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Castle Hill: 62-Year-Old Woman Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Van

A 62-year-old woman has died following a traffic accident in Castle Hill.   On Saturday, May 14, at approximately 11.02 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit at Olmstead Avenue and Seward Avenue, in the 43rd precinct.
