UPDATE Fordham Manor: Woman, 39, Reported Missing, Found

The NYPD said on Wednesday, Jan. 11, that a 39-year-old woman who had been reported missing from Fordham Manor has been found.   Prior to being located, it was reported on Friday, Dec. 16 to police that Esmeralda Tejada, 39, of Briggs Avenue had last been seen on Thursday, Dec. 15, at approximately 8 a.m. inside her home. She was described at the time as female, around 5 feet, 4 inches tall, Hispanic, weighing around 180 pounds with a heavy build. Prior to being located, she had last been seen wearing a red sweater, gray skirt and black sneakers.

Mt. Hope: Man Sought following Burglary of Residential Building

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who is sought in connection to a burglary that occurred in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx.   It was reported to police that on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at approximately 4.40 p.m., an unidentified man entered a residential building located at 270 East Burnside Avenue and removed around 10 garbage bags containing miscellaneous items from the vestibule area.   “The male individual then fled on foot eastbound on East Burnside Avenue towards Valentine Avenue,” a police spokesperson said. “There were no injuries

UPDATE Fordham Heights: Man, 30, Shot in Chest on Valentine Avenue

  A 30-year-old man was shot in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx on Friday afternoon, Dec. 16, police said.   A police spokesperson told Norwood News the incident took place at about 2.30 p.m. on Friday, at 2314 Valentine Avenue. “We have a male shot in the chest and he was taken to St. Barnabas (Hospital),” the police spokesperson said. “The medical staff have determined that the victim had sustained a gunshot wound. Jerome Park: Search for Missing DeWitt Clinton High School Employee

According to a New Rochelle police captain, multiple law enforcement agencies are looking for a New Rochelle man and longtime janitor employed at DeWitt Clinton High School, located in the Jerome Park section of The Bronx, who disappeared without a trace nearly one month ago.   According to two fliers circulated by the man’s family and the New Rochelle Police Department, Christopher Corcoran, 61, left his home on Shore Road in New Rochelle, N.Y., at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, and has not been seen since.
