University Heights: Suspect Sought in Non-Fatal Shooting, Victim Struck in Head Area

Officials from the 52nd Precinct are calling on the public to help with an investigation into a non-fatal shooting incident in University Heights.   They said the incident occurred on Nov. 26 at around 2:24 a.m. opposite 138 West Fordham Road. Police said a suspect shot and struck a victim in the head area before fleeing in the pictured vehicle.   A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information in relation to the incident.    Residents are asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS with any information they may have. Calls are confidential.

Mt Hope: Three Sought following Robbery of 34-Year-Old Man

The NYPD is asking the public’s help identifying the two people seen in the attached photos who are sought for questioning in connection to a robbery by a group of three that occurred in Mt. Montefiore Resident Doctors Call on Hospital to Form Voluntary Union

  Montefiore Medical Center residents and fellows requested voluntary union recognition during a press conference held outside the Norwood-based hospital, one of the largest teaching hospitals in New York City, on Nov. 1. The group pointed to conditions that they say were exacerbated during the pandemic and which they say continue to persist.   Over 1,200 residents and fellows asked for better compensation, better pay, and improved benefits like improved family leave. The two infants who, as reported, died having been stabbed multiple times on Saturday, Nov. 27, following an apparent domestic incident at a family shelter in the Mt. NYCHA Program Renovates 18 Homes in The Bronx, Queens & Brooklyn for Public Housing Residents

Off-Duty NYPD School Cross Guard Arrested in The Bronx 

An off-duty, NYPD school cross guard was arrested in The Bronx, police said.   On Saturday, Nov. 26, at 6.29 p.m., police said an off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 49th Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens.   Matthew Marichal, 41, was charged with criminal mischief and harassment.   A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.   Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime
