Woodlawn Heights: Search for Man following Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who is sought in connection to a robbery that occurred in Woodlawn Heights.   A police spokesperson said the incident took place on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 8.22 p.m. at the corner of Katonah Avenue and East 235th Street, where the unidentified male suspect met a 29-year-old male victim at the location. “The male expressed interest on Facebook market to purchase the victim’s Apple MacBook,” the spokesperson said. “Upon meeting at the location, the victim showed the suspect the MacBook but the suspect grabbed

UPDATE Norwood: 13-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing Found

The NYPD said a 13-year-old girl who had been reported missing from Norwood has returned home.   Prior to her return, police said that it had been reported to them that Leanna Fernandez of Hull Avenue had last been seen on Friday, March 3, at around 7.30 a.m., leaving her home. An NYPD spokesperson said at the time, “[She] is described as a female, light complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair with blue tips. Tremont: Man Sought following Attempted Robbery & Shooting at Gas Station

District 11 City Council Member Eric Dinowitz, in partnership with BetaNYC, has launched a new mapping tool which shows the level of playground accessibility for residents near their homes and schools.
