Hundreds of children and teens celebrated the fall holiday season with a pair of Halloween events held at the Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center and park in Norwood.

Police say a Bronx man is facing several charges after he allegedly struck a 77-year-old woman with a hammer before leading police on a wild car chase that also injured two police officers in the Van Cortlandt Village section of The Bronx last month.

The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, located at 3415 Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood, hosted a Halloween Candy Exchange event on Wednesday, Nov. 1, to enable children with diabetes to participate in the fun of Halloween.

Annual Halloween “Trunk or Treat” Celebration Held at the 52nd Precinct

An estimated crowd of over 1,000 trick-or-treaters and their parents joined local police officers and members of the NYPD’s Explorers Program as the 52nd Precinct hosted their Annual “Trunk or Treat” Halloween event in Norwood on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Bronx Woman Charged with Fraud, Stealing House from Dead man with Same Name as Father

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Monday, Nov. 13, that a Bronx woman was charged with grand larceny (substantial theft) and additional charges for selling the Williamsbridge home of a dead man who had the same name as her deceased father.

Belmont: Scooter Rider Seriously Injured in East Fordham Road Crash

A 20-year-old scooter rider is recovering from a serious head injury after losing control of his scooter along East Fordham Road in the Belmont section of the borough last month.
