Bedford Park: Woman Sexually Assaulted in Subway Station

Officers from the 52nd Precinct and Transit District 11 are asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who is sought for questioning in relation to an allegation of sexual abuse that allegedly occurred, in transit.

 


The NYPD said that it was reported to police that on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at around 8.22 p.m., the victim, a 59-year-old woman, was going up the stairs of the Bedford Park Boulevard [and Grand Concourse] subway station, serving the B and D lines, when a man, unknown to her, approached her from behind and pressed his head against her buttocks.

He reportedly then fled on foot to parts unknown. There were no physical injuries reported as a result of the incident.

 

The assailant is described as male, is around 25 to 30 years of age, has black hair (Afro), a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, a black shirt with a hood, light colored pants, and black sneakers.

 

Surveillance video and photos, showing the person are attached, police said, and were obtained from the transit authorities.
