UPDATE Norwood: Fire at 3080 Hull Avenue Under Control, Two Injured

A fire which broke out on the top floor of a multiple dwelling at 3080 Hull Avenue in Norwood on Tuesday night, Oct. 25, was brought under control in under 40 minutes, according to the FDNY.

All hands comprising 12 units and 60 firefighters were called to the scene of the 6-story location by FDNY at 9.43 p.m. A department spokesperson later said the incident was brought under control at 10.21 p.m.

Multiple fire trucks were seen lining the street outside the building in videos posted to the Citizens’ App.

An FDNY official later told Norwood News two civilians were injured. One was a minor injury and one a serious/ life threatening one. The  victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
