EMS responded and pronounced the man deceased at the scene. A preliminary investigation determined that a 2010 BMW GT5 was traveling southbound on Jerome Ave when it struck the pedestrian, who was attempting to cross Jerome Avenue at the intersection of Featherbed Lane.

The 21-year-old male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
