Around 100 people gathered on Mosholu Parkway and Bainbridge Avenue on the border of Norwood and Bedford Park on Thursday, Dec. 7 for an annual, beloved tradition as Bronx Community Board 7 (CB7), in conjunction with Future of Mosholu Parkland (FOMP), held their year-end, festive, tree-lighting event.

Over 1,000 Bronx kids and their parents gathered in the Williamsbridge Oval park in Norwood for the annual spring Easter egg hunt, organized by NYC Parks’ Department on Saturday, April 8. The event comprised all types of games, arts & crafts, and fun activities for children of all ages, including traditional Easter egg hunts and “old school” potato sack races. To keep things fair and safe, both activities catered to kids of different age groups. Hundreds Enjoy the Fun-Filled Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Williamsbridge Oval
For the first time since 2019, before a once-in-a-century pandemic put a stop to most large gatherings, several hundred children and their parents gathered at the Williamsbridge Oval in Norwood for the Parks department’s 5th Annual Spring Easter Egg Hunt. Held opposite the Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center, located at 3225 Reservoir Oval East, on Saturday, April 16, youngsters enjoyed an egg hunt as well as games, arts and crafts and face-painting. A dozen or more businesses and organizations were on hand on the day, passing out free information. DJ Rob, provided by Montefiore Hospital, was at the turntables

Editor’s Pick Bronx Film 48, founded in 2019, the group behind the annual, 48-hour film challenge has announced a fundraising drive to raise $20,000 for the 2022 fiscal year, to expand its offerings. The team is looking to offer an outdoor summer film series, more networking events and the return of its annual, “48-hour film challenge: The Bronx.” The summer film series is aimed at hosting roof-top, drive-in, and outdoor film screenings of curated, independent films across the Bronx, from Orchard Beach to the Andrew Freedman Home. The fundraising campaign will allow the group to connect Bronx filmmakers with
