Police said a robbery was reported at a home in Spuyten Duyvil where there was also some damage to a door area.

When asked about a suspected “armed home invasion,” a police spokesperson said the incident was reported to police in the vicinity of the 3500 block of Netherland Avenue at 1 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 18.

The spokesperson said, “A 32-year-old male resident at [the] location returned to [the] residence and noticed [a] glass window near [the] door area was broken.”

The spokesperson said the victim entered the residence and noticed various articles of clothing, designer sunglasses, an Apple MacBook, a gold chain, earrings, sneakers, and various baseball cards were missing.

Police said there have been no arrests nor any identified suspects at this time.

We asked police if they can confirm if there is any evidence that an armed person entered the residence, as suggested by some residents, and will update this story upon receipt of any feedback.
