Norwood: Man Sought for Assault of 36-Year-Old Woman Inside Apartment

Police are searching for an assailant who is wanted in connection with an assault of a woman which took place inside a Norwood residential building.

 

According to police officials, officers from the 52nd precinct were called to a four-story building at 371 East 204th Street at Webster Avenue, at 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. Police say the still-unidentified suspect was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim, which later escalated into a physical assault.

 

The man pushed the woman and punched her in the mouth, causing pain, swelling and a laceration to her mouth. The victim, who also suffered a bump on her head, was transported by EMS to North Central Bronx Hospital, where she was reported in stable condition. The NYPD had no immediate description of the suspect and no arrests have been made in the case. The investigation continues.

Norwood News recently reported that on March 2, a 32-year-old woman was also assaulted inside an apartment, on Webster Avenue. That incident was reported at around 2.30 a.m. inside 3349 Webster Avenue, also in Norwood.
