Mt. Hope: Woman Sought for Slashing of Second Woman at Burnside Ave Subway Station

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who they say is wanted in connection with an assault that occurred in transit in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx last month.

 

Police said that on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at around 8.15 a.m., a 41-year-old female victim was standing on the southbound ‘4’ train platform at the Burnside Avenue subway station when she was approached by an unidentified person and got into a verbal dispute.

They said the perpetrator slashed the victim with a box cutter across her left arm causing a laceration, and the suspect then fled the location on foot traveling to parts unknown. They said the victim was transported to Bronx Care Health System by private means in stable condition

Police said the suspect is described as female, was last seen wearing a black hat, a black jacket, a grey sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
