The NYPD is appealing to the public for help identifying the person seen in the attached video and screenshots who they say is wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx.
Police said that on Sunday, May 24, at around 11.09 p.m. an unidentified person broke into a church located at 2860 Sedgwick Avenue through a window.

“Once inside, the individual removed approximately $400 and fled the location on foot traveling southbound on Webb Avenue to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. “The incident resulted in approximately $2,400 worth of damage.”
Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church is located at the address, and is a central community hub for many in the neighborhood, home to a large Hispanic community.

Remembrance and other services for the late Nicholas Feliz Dominici 1, have been held there, following the one-year-old’s untimely death on Sept. 15, 2023 from fentanyl poisoning at the now-closed El Divino Niño daycare center on Morris Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, as have community events, including one in February 2023 with former NYC Mayor Eric Adams and other elected officials to gather input from the community on the redevelopment of the Kingsbridge Armory.
