Fordham Heights: Murder Investigation Underway after Man is Fatally Stabbed

A 46-year-old man has died following a fatal stabbing in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx, police said.

 

An NYPD spokesperson said that on Sunday, July 12, at around 6.48 a.m., officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a person who had been stabbed in the vicinity of East 183rd Street and Grand Concourse.

 

“Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 46-year-old male had been stabbed multiple times in the arm following a verbal dispute with a group of unidentified individuals,” the spokesperson said. “The individuals fled the location in vehicles in an unknown direction. EMS responded and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.”

 

Police said there are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identification of the deceased is pending proper family notification, police added.
