A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a murder inquiry after a 38-year-old man died following a fatal stabbing at East 176th Street subway station, located on the border of Mt. Hope and Morris Heights, police said. Officers from the NYPD’s 46th Precinct (Transit District 11) had been asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video who was sought regarding the fatal assault. Ten people have been reported injured following a road accident involving a police vehicle on Thursday, Oct. 6, at around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Westchester Avenue and Hoe Avenue in the Foxhurst section of The Bronx, just southeast of Crotona Park East. Citizens’ App users shared live footage of cordoned-off streets, a large crowd gathered, and multiple members of the NYPD at the location, in the 41st Precinct, after the incident occurred. Police initially confirmed in relation to the injured, “No one is likely at this time,” meaning all victims were expected to survive the accident.

A 58-year-old man was reported missing from Norwood on Friday, Sept. 30, and the NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating him. Police said it was reported to them that Melvin Phillips, 58, from 3144 Hull Avenue was last seen Friday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m., leaving his home. He is described as having brown eyes, is balding, has a dark complexion, is 6 feet tall, has a medium build and weighs around 180 pounds. His clothing description is unknown.
