When you’re the local political boss (so reminds me of Tammany Hall), and have called the shots for as long as [Assemblyman] Jeff Dinowitz [A.D. 81] has, you may forget that it is “We the people.” I read with great concern the claims by Ira Bigeleisen in last week’s Riverdale Press that “Team Dinowitz” got President Joe Biden on the ballot this year.

The mailer violated both principles and revealed the brand of leadership that (Assemblyman) Jeff Dinowitz (A.D. 81) and his slate have and will provide.

As community members, voters, and activists, we care about truth and decency in political discourse. The mailer violates both principles through its inflammatory accusations that the Unity (Democratic) Club candidates use antisemitic tropes and disregard public safety. We condemn the mailer. We believe it distorts truth.
