The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 24-year-old man reported missing from the Morris Heights section of The Bronx who was last seen in lower Manhattan at an address opposite Manhattan Detention Center. Police said Branden Lopez, 24, of 1928 University Avenue in The Bronx was last seen leaving 139 Centre Street in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at around 9.17 a.m. They said he’s described as White, Hispanic, male, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs around 310 pounds, has brown hair, and brown eyes. UPDATE State Sen. Gustavo Rivera Arrested & Later Released in Manhattan Amid ICE Protest
State Sen. Gustavo Rivera (S.D. 33) as well as 70 others, including seemingly ten other elected officials, including City Comptroller and former Democratic mayoral candidate, Brad Lander, were arrested on Thursday evening, Sept. 18, inside or near 26 Federal Plaza courthouse in Manhattan as an ICE [U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement] protest took place nearby, according to various sources. Protestors had been calling for an end to the disappearance, seemingly but inconclusively, by federal agents of various New Yorkers including high school students, off the streets and courthouses of the City.
