NY Lottery: TAKE 5 Top-Prize Ticket Sold in The Bronx

The New York Lottery announced that one top-prize winning ticket was sold in The Bronx for the Nov. 21 TAKE 5 midday drawing. Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at MD 1511 Meat & Produce Corp, located at 1511 Metropolitan Avenue in Parkchester, and was worth $18,800.50.

UPDATE Freeze Warning & Travel Advisory in Effect

The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning on Monday afternoon, Nov. 20, which is in effect until Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 8 a.m. with sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees expected in The Bronx, New Jersey, Hudson County, Manhattan, Staten Island and southern Nassau counties.

MTA Release First OMNY Vending Machines in The Bronx

MTA officials announced the activation of the first OMNY card vending machines in the City on Oct. 30, including at both Fordham Road subway stations serving the 4, B and D trains. Officials said electronic OMNY cards which can be tapped rather than swiped at subway station styles provide cash customers a way to take advantage of OMNY’s financial flexibility to pay-as-you-go and never spend more than $34 in 7 days.
