UPDATE Bronx Daycare Provider, Husband & his Cousin Charged with Murder in Fentanyl Poisoning of Baby Nicholas Dominici

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Thursday, Oct. 5, that the operator of Divino Niño Daycare Center in Kingsbridge Heights where one-year-old Nicholas Dominici was fatally poisoned, her husband and his cousin, were charged with murder “under circumstances evincing a depraved indifference to human life, assault, and other charges for allegedly exposing Nicholas and three other surivivng babies to fentanyl which was stored in the daycare.  As reported, they also face additional federal charges.

Though most argue it hasn’t ever left, Hip Hop officially came home to 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx with a special free block party and concert, marking its 50th anniversary at its birthplace on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023. Performers included KRS One, Flavor Flav of Public Enemy, The Sugar Hill Gang, Slick Rick, Talib Kweli of Black Starr, the Cold Crush Brothers, Chuck D, C.L. Inquiring Photographer: Thoughts on Pilot Program Allowing Some Lightweight E-Bikes in Parks

This week, we asked readers their thoughts on the pilot program launched by the City’s Parks’ department in June 2023, as reported, which allows Class 1, 2 and 3 e-bikes and lighter-weight e-scooters on city park drives and greenways. A map is available at nyc.gov/parks/ebikes, showing the greenways and drives that fall under the program, along with a multilingual survey to obtain feedback.
