MTA & Gov. Hochul Provide Service Update Following 4.8 Magnitude Earthquake

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is advising customers that the regional transit system is continuing to operate safely and normally following a 4.0 magnitude aftershock recorded in New Jersey at 5:59 p.m. on Friday, April 5, that was felt throughout the service region.

Fordham Manor: Migrants Removed from Illegal Migrant Shelter, the 2nd Allegedly Run by the Same Man

Several West African migrants were evacuated in late February by City officials due to unsafe living conditions from a make-shift, Bronx migrant shelter located at 305 East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Manor which was allegedly being illegally run by the same man who had already been busted for allegedly trespassing and allegedly running two other illegal shelters, one at the Old Fordham Library building, also in Fordham Manor, and a second in a Queens furniture store.
