Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson has thanked NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) for listening to calls and agreeing to open more vaccination sites to facilitate the ongoing roll-out of the monkeypox vaccination across The Bronx and the City. Van Cortlandt Jewish Center Hosts Blood Drive amid Citywide Blood Shortage

Last month, New York Blood Center declared a blood emergency. Van Cortlandt Jewish Center (VCJC), in conjunction with the New York Blood Center (NYBC), is hosting an upcoming blood drive to address the shortage.   NYBC announced the blood emergency due to an alarming drop in blood donations, according to VCJC.   The emotions permeating the atmosphere were clear as young protestors of all ages gathered around their political leaders, teachers, parents, and relatives of the late Angellyh Yambo at a rally organized during Gun Violence Awareness Month to honor their 16-year-old school friend.   Angellyh was tragically and fatally killed in broad daylight by a stray bullet just north of the Mott Haven border on Friday, April 8, as she walked home from school. Belmont: Search for Masked Gunman After Male Victim Shot 6 Times

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos regarding a non-fatal shooting that occurred in Belmont, located in the 48th Precinct. Crackdown Underway to Curb Quality-of-Life Complaints within 52nd Precinct

Williamsbridge: Search for Group following Non Fatal Shooting

  The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the group of individuals seen in the attached video who are sought for questioning in connection to a reckless endangerment incident that occurred in Williamsbridge, located in the 47th precinct. Special Education Students Go for Gold

  Cheers wafted through the air on the field outside the New York Institute for Special Education in Pelham Parkway on Thursday, June 2, as special education students of all ages competed against one another for a gold medal.   The competitions consisted of track courses, shot put, softball throws, and long and short jumps, with the students split up into teams, designated by colors.
