Fordham Heights: Residential Fire Causes No Injuries

No injuries were reported following a fire in Fordham Heights on Friday, May 19, the FDNY said.   A spokesperson for the fire department said they received a call at 10.48 p.m. on Friday for reports of smoke/a fire at 2357 Walton Avenue. The spokesperson said the fire broke out on the first floor of 5-story, multiple dwelling and was brought under control at 11:19 p.m. There were no injuries according to the FDNY. Asked if the cause of the blaze was established, the FDNY spokesperson said the cause was not yet known.      

UPDATE Baychester: 10 Hospitalized following Motor Vehicle Collision

Officials from The Fire Department of New York said 10 people were transported to hospital following a motor vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in Baychester, south of Co-op City, and one further person was also injured but not hospitalized.   The incident was reported at 3.18 p.m. at Einstein Loop North and Hutchinson River Parkway East on Monday, May 15, and involved four separate vehicles.   An NYPD spokeswoman said an 80-year-old man was driving a jeep traveling northbound on Hutchinson River Parkway when he collided at the intersection with a yellow school bus, driven by a 72-year-old woman.

UPDATE Williamsbridge: Four Burned in Construction Site Work-Place Incident

Four people were injured following a burn-related incident at 739 East Gun Hill Road, the site of a new building under construction, on Monday morning, May 15, FDNY officials said.   All hands were asked to respond to the location at 8.38 a.m. on Monday. Wakefield: Mothers Day Residential Fire Under Control

A 21-year-old hospitalized man is in stable condition after he was shot in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx on Thursday afternoon, police said.
