Democratic mayoral nominee Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani (A.D. 36), recently endorsed by the Bronx Democratic Party on Sept. 2, had paid another visit to The Bronx on Aug. 14 as part of a five-borough tour. The aim of the visit was to meet with small business owners, highlight the impact the actions of the federal government has had on such businesses, discuss the response needed to negate those actions by cities and states across the country, and outline the measures he plans to implement in order to safeguard small business’s bottom lines.

Norwood: Sleeping Dog Owner Reunited with Pet after it was Stolen on Subway
The owner of a dog that was stolen while he slept aboard the D train in Norwood has been reunited with his pet, police said Thursday. The NYPD had previously been asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos and video who they said was sought for questioning in relation to the theft of the dog.

Bronx Man Charged with Narcotics Offenses Resulting in Death Used Stash House Occupied by Child
Federal prosecutors announced Friday, Aug. 1, that a 34-year-old Bronx man, Estherlyn Frias, a/k/a “Platinum,” a/k/a “Silver,” was charged with drug dealing resulting in death in connection with the “overdose” of a victim in Greenwich, Connecticut last month. Prosecutors allege the man ran the drug operation out of his partner’s home where a young child slept in close proximity to potent narcotics.
