UPDATE Mayor Signs Executive Order to Codify Working Definition of Antisemitism into Law

New York City Mayor Eric Adams signed an executive order on Sunday, June 8, to legally recognize the working definition of antisemitism as defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). According to the mayor’s office, the order was signed “to facilitate constructive discourse, further understanding, and enable a thoughtful response to antisemitic hate in New York City.”

Bedford Park: Illegal Scooter Crackdown Continues

Police officers from the 52nd Precinct are continuing to remove illegal scooters from local roads. Uniformed officers driving in an unmarked, black SUV were seen apparently stopping a scooter rider on Thursday, May 8, in Bedford Park.

The NYC Commission to Strengthen Local Democracy hosted a public hearing on Bronx land use issues at the Bronx Museum of the Arts on May 12. The Commission says its goal is to improve and restore public confidence in City government by enhancing accountability and transparency.
