The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who department officials say is sought in connection to a robbery that occurred in Pelham Parkway. Police said a 26-year-old man has been arrested following the fatal shooting in the Belmont section of The Bronx of 22-year-old Miguel Vargas from Fordham Heights in mid-February. A 24-year-old man has died following a fatal shooting in the Crotona section of The Bronx. Police said that on Saturday, May 6, at approximately 4.30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 4371 Third Avenue, just south of the Belmont border. “Upon arrival, officers determined that a 29-year-old male was shot in the chest at the location and was transported via private means to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased,” a police spokesperson said. “A firearm was recovered.
