University Heights: Man Sought for Assaulting Second Man with Baseball Bat

The NYPD is appealing to the public for help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who department officials say is sought in connection to an assault that occurred in University Heights.

 

Police said that on Thursday, July 6, at around 2.50 p.m., a 37-year-old man was walking at the intersection of Aqueduct Avenue and West 183rd Street when he was approached by a person unknown to him.

“The individual displayed a baseball bat and struck the victim about the head with it,” a police spokesperson said.

 

“The individual fled the location to parts unknown,” the spokesperson added. “The victim sustained a laceration to his head, as well as bruising. EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition.”
