New York Attorney General Letitia James was formally indicted on one count of alleged mortgage fraud in the Eastern District of Virginia’s federal court on Thursday, Oct. 9, according to reporting by the New York Law Journal. The outlet reported that the indictment comes months after the Federal Housing Finance Agency first referred James for criminal investigation for the alleged fraud.

An Allerton mother is demanding justice after her 11-year-old daughter was beaten up and her daughter’s puppy brutally kicked during a daylight attack on Monday, Sept. 22. A local clergy leader alleged the beating was carried out by a gang of girls who have assaulted at least three victims and have been terrorizing teens, seniors, and businesses in the community.
