A 24-year-old man has died following a fatal shooting in the Crotona section of The Bronx. Police said that on Saturday, May 6, at approximately 4.30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 4371 Third Avenue, just south of the Belmont border. “Upon arrival, officers determined that a 29-year-old male was shot in the chest at the location and was transported via private means to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased,” a police spokesperson said. “A firearm was recovered. Two women were hospitalized after they were fired upon by a man in a shocking daylight shooting reportedly by a bus stop on the Grand Concourse in Fordham Heights earlier this week. Police said a 29-year-old man from Pelham Parkway has been arrested on hate crime and other charges for tossing a brick through the window of his neighbor’s building during the Passover holiday on April 7, as reported.
