Weekend Lane Closures on Cross Bronx Expressway (Weather Permitting)

 The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising motorists of lane closures on the Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95) between Noble Avenue and Boston Road in the vicinity of the Bronx River Parkway in the Bronx, on or about the weekend of April 23 through April 24.   A one-lane closure is scheduled for Saturday evening from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. A two-lane closure is scheduled for Saturday evening at 9 p.m. and continuing through Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Inclement weather could cause these closures to be rescheduled.   The lane closures are needed to facilitate work on

UPDATE Concourse: 6-Year-Old Boy in Critical Condition after Elevator Shaft Fall

The NYPD confirmed a 6-year-old boy has fallen down an elevator shaft of a building in the Concourse section of The Bronx and remains in critical condition.   The incident happened at 12.35 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, at 1235 Grand Concourse, a multiple, residential Co-op building, in the Concourse neighborhood, comprising 130 residential units.
