UPDATE University Heights: New Search for 13-Year-old Missing Girl

The NYPD has issued a new appeal seeking the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old girl, reported missing in University Heights.   Police first reported on Monday, Aug. 22, that Luna Elias, 13, of 2337 Andrews Avenue in The Bronx was reported missing and had last been seen that same day, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m., leaving her home. She was described as female, around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, and has black eyes and red hair. Inspector General Publishes Investigative Report & Makes Public Letters Sent to Govt. Agencies & Officials

The Offices of the NYS Inspector General published its latest investigative report on Friday, Aug. 19, as well as 21 previously non-public letters arising from investigations undertaken by the office. Fundraiser Underway for Bedford Congregational Church to Upgrade Heating System

A GoFundMe page has been set-up in support of efforts to upgrade the heating system at Bedford Congregational Church, a 501c3 charity and designated landmark since 2000, according to the NYC Historic Districts Council.
