The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has advised of the following street and bridge closures in the Bronx from Nov. 12 to Nov 19. East 144th Street between Gerard Avenue and Exterior Street: This street will be closed from 7am to 3pm through 11/30/21 to facilitate crane operation. East 160th Street between Forest Avenue and Tinton Avenue: This street will be closed from 8am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday through 11/2/21 to facilitate crane operation. East 162nd Street between Park Avenue and Courtlandt Avenue: This street will be closed Saturday from 8am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 6pm

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance identifying two individuals seen in the attached photos who are sought for questioning in connection to a shooting that occurred in Mount Hope, located in the 46th precinct. On Sunday, Nov. 7, at approximately 9.42 p.m., the individuals displayed a firearm in front of an unknown male victim in the vicinity of 2000 Anthony Avenue. They then discharged the firearm at least three times at the victim before fleeing the location. No injuries were reported. One of the individuals is described as a male who was wearing a Yankee baseball cap.

Price gouging is illegal. In the early days of the pandemic, some Bronxites had complained of the cost of thermometers, hand sanitizer and other hygiene products, but in recent months, with more and more reports of supply chain and delivery issues, price gouging appears to have become more widespread. The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the three individuals seen in the attached video and photo who are sought in connection with a shooting that occurred in Edenwald, located in the 47th precinct. It was reported to police that on Tuesday Oct. 4, at approximately 1.45 a.m., inside 1851 Schiefelin Place, the three individuals entered the location, and one discharged one round from a firearm into an apartment door. A building application has been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for an eight-story, residential building located at 2187 Ryer Avenue in the Fordham Heights neighborhood of the Bronx, according to YIMBY. Inoculation of the COVID-19 vaccine for 5 through 11-year-olds continued on Monday, Nov. 8, and Tuesday, Nov. 9, in the Bronx and across New York City. During a press conference on Tuesday, Mayor Bill de Blasio said over 4,500 children got vaccinated at public schools on Nov. 8 alone.
