An off-duty, New York City Police Department employee was arrested and charged in the 45th precinct in the early hours of Saturday morning, Dec. 11. Edwin Jerez, a 37-year-old male NYPD lieutenant was charged with driving while his ability to drive was impaired (DWAI). The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a wind advisory on Saturday, Dec. 11, which is in effect from 3.40 p.m. on Saturday until Sunday, Dec. 12, at 4 a.m. Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected, with gusts of up to 50 mph, then becoming westerly.
