The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a heat advisory earlier this week which was originally due to be in effect until Wednesday, July 20, at 8 p.m., but NWS has since announced that the period of extreme heat will continue through Sunday, July 24 at 8 p.m. Temperatures of between 95 and 100 degrees were expected on Wednesday in New York City.   Heat index values in the upper 90s to around 100 are expected for New York City through Sunday, at 8 p.m., according to NWS. Eastchester Man Charged with Raping Two Women, One at Knifepoint & Sexually Assaulting a Third in his Home

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Monday, July 18, that a Bronx man has been charged with predatory sexual assault, rape, a criminal sexual act along with other additional charges for attacking three women over the course of six days during separate incidents in his Eastchester apartment.   In the context of the announcement, Clark said, “The defendant is charged in a 23-count indictment with allegedly raping two women and sexually assaulting another during three separate incidents. UPDATE NWS Issues Thunderstorm & Flood Warning for Monday, July 18 until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for July 18 until 3.30 p.m. for The Bronx, Queens, Manhattan Southeastern Bergen and Southern Westchester and a severe flash flood warning until 6 p.m.   The thunderstorm was located over Riverdale / Norwood in The Bronx around 3.05 p.m. and moved east at 30 mph. Kingsbridge Heights: NYPD Offers Reward for Info on Person Sought following Non-Fatal Shooting

  The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who is sought regarding a non-fatal shooting involving two young men in their 20s in Wakefield.
