UPDATE Court Prohibits DOE from Making Further Budget Cuts to Schools, for Now

Judge Lyle Frank of the NY State Supreme Court granted plaintiffs to a lawsuit against the City a temporary restraining order (TRO) on Friday, July 22, which precludes the Adams administration from temporarily, at least, making any further cuts to the public schools’ budget. Bronx DA: NYS Court of Appeals Upholds Conviction in Murder of Toddler on Easter Sunday 2006

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. UPDATE Norwood: Neighbor Arrested following Fatal Stabbing of 35-Year-Old Man

  Police said a 19-year-old male youth has been arrested on murder charges following the fatal stabbing of a 35-year-old man in Norwood on Thursday.   The victim was murdered on Thursday afternoon, July 21, amid a thunderstorm and downpour.
