Fordham Manor: 19-Year-Old Man Dies following Fatal Stabbing

A 19-year-old male from Mount Vernon has died, following a fatal stabbing in Fordham Manor, police said.

 

On Saturday, Sept. 17, at around 5 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in progress at 2550 Briggs Avenue, located in the 52nd Precinct.

An NYPD spokesperson said, “Upon arrival, officers observed a 19-year-old male with a stab wound to the neck.” The spokesperson added, “EMS responded and transported the aided male to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Two knives were recovered on scene.”

 

Police said a person of interest was taken into custody and charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing. The deceased has been identified as Armani McDonald of Mount Vernon, NY.
