Bedford Park: Man Shot in Chest on East 198th Street

A 32-year-old man has been hospitalized following a shooting in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Friday night, May 15, police said.

 

An NYPD spokesperson said that the incident occurred at East 198th Street and Briggs Avenue. The incident appears to have taken place at around 9.15 p.m. Police said the man was shot in the chest, transported to St. Barnasbas Hospital and is in stable condition.

 

Police said the motive for the shooting is unknown at present, the investigation is continuing and there is currently no description of a perpetrator.
