Fordham Anti-Racist Alumni Collective (FAAC) announced on Monday, April 26, that the group had compiled a list of student grievances against the faculty, administration, and staff of Fordham University, which were submitted by victims through the group’s Instagram accounts. “These powerful accounts of racism, sexism, classism, xenophobia, sexual harassment, lack of professionalism and institutional neglect expose Fordham University’s record of failure to hold faculty, administrators and staff accountable for harm caused in the classroom and on campus,” a statement from FAAC read. Woodlawn Cemetery held an “Earth Day Celebration” on Saturday, April 24, 2021, following the official Earth Day on Thursday, April 22. The event took place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and well over 200 people attended. Opening of Lehman College Vaccination Site On Tuesday, April 20, Lehman College, CUNY formally announced that it has partnered with the City to launch the Bronx’s newest COVID-19 vaccination hub, located at the college’s APEX Athletic Center at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West in the borough’s Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood, as reported by Norwood News. The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Melissa Gonon, 14, of 3018 Kingsbridge Avenue in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx who was reported missing in the 50th precinct. Melissa was last seen at her home on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at approximately 8.39 a.m. She is described as female, about 5 feet tall, Hispanic and weighs about 150 pounds.
