The NYPD has confirmed a 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Norwood man on Saturday. Police responded to a call regarding a man who had been shot on Saturday, Feb. 19, at approximately 3.17 p.m., on the corner of East Tremont Avenue and Belmont Avenue in the Tremont section of The Bronx. A fire in Bedford Park which broke out in a multiple dwelling on Sunday evening has been brought under control, FDNY officials confirmed. The FDNY later confirmed to Norwood News that the department was alerted to the incident at 7.09 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20 and that it had been reported at 2777 Webster Avenue.
