Building applications have been filed with the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, 11-story residential building at 1351 Jerome Avenue in the Mt. Eden section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY. Located between Marcy Place and Elliot Place, the lot is one block from the 170th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Joseph Riegler is listed as the owner behind the applications. The proposed, 115-foot-tall development will yield 89,176 square feet designated for residential space. A man was taken to hospital following a motor vehicle accident on the Bronx River Parkway over the weekend. Police said on Saturday, May 7, at 6.49 a.m., a Nissan traveling north on the exit ramp of the Bronx River Parkway at East Gun Hill Road [located in the 47th precinct] in the vicinity of Norwood / Olinville rear-ended a 2003 Ford who was stopped in traffic. A woman has been hit with a DWI charge following a collision in Kingsbridge over the weekend.
