Norwood: Pedestrian Hit by Car on Bainbridge Avenue Hospitalized

One man was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in the Norwood section of The Bronx on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, according to emergency services.

 

An EMS spokesperson said emergency services received a call at 12.53 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle at Bainbridge Avenue and Van Cortlandt Avenue East.

 

They said EMS EMS transported one civilian to an area hospital. The condition and description of the patient were unknown. When Norwood News visited the scene, a local street vendor said he saw that a man who he estimated to be in his forties had been hit by a car and that an ambulance had arrived to help.

As reported, police said there were minor injuries reported following a two-vehicle car crash in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Monday evening, March 30.

 

As reported, three people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle car crash on West Gun Hill Road in Norwood on March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, no injuries were reported following a three-vehicle crash on the Major Deegan Expressway on Sunday, March 22, while two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle collision in Norwood on Jerome Avenue and Mosholu Parkway the same day.
