Woman Assaulted in Norwood: Man Arrested

Police confirm on Apr. 28 that they received a complaint of an assault on Monday, Apr. 27 at 10:53 p.m. inside a residence located in the vicinity of Knox Place and West Gun Hill Road, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct.

 

A 43-year-old female victim reported to police that after a verbal dispute, she was struck in the head with a box cutter which caused a small laceration to her head, and that she was punched multiple times in the face and arms.

 

She was not hospitalized at the time of the incident. Derrick Anderson, a 49-year-old male from Park Avenue, Manhattan was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree, assault and harassment.
