A GoFundMe page has been launched for a 27-year-old male pedestrian who was killed in a hit & run incident in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx in the early hours of Saturday, Dec. 6.

As reported, an NYPD spokesperson said that at around 00.18 a.m., officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a vehicle collision at the intersection of Boston Road and East 222nd Street.

The spokesperson said, “Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that a 2025 BMW M8, operated by an unidentified individual, was traveling eastbound on East 222 Street when he struck a 27-year-old male pedestrian who was attempting to cross East 222 Street mid-block from north to south.”

Police said the BMW then continued traveling eastbound and struck a telephone pole located on the northeast corner of East 222nd Street and Boston Road. They said the pedestrian sustained severe trauma to the body and was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.

They said the front-seat passenger of the BMW, a 28-year-old male, sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized and the BMW driver did not remain at the scene. They said there were no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.
