UPDATE Soundview: 42-Year-Old Man Sought in Connection with Shooting of 27-Year-Old Man

A 27-year-old man has died after fatal shooting in the Soundview section of The Bronx.

 

Police said that on Sunday, Sept. 13, at around 9.16 a.m., police responded to a call regarding a man who had been shot in front of 1760 Bruckner Boulevard.

 

Police said that upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. They said the victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. They said there were (and still are) no arrests and the investigation was ongoing.

 

They said the deceased was identified, after proper family notification, as Ezequiel Rivera, 27, of Story Avenue in The Bronx.

The NYPD later asked for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached videos and photo in connection with the shooting.

 

They said the first video is of the shooting at 1760 Bruckner Boulevard, and the second was taken after the incident, where the individual is seen, wearing a blue sweatshirt, walking into 1785 Story Avenue, also in Soundview, and later walking out of the location wearing a white T-shirt.

 

On Thursday, Nov. 26, the NYPD appealed again to the public for help identifying the suspect sought in connection with the shooting, who they said had been named as Jameel Campbell, described as a 42-year-old male, Black, of Soundview Avenue in the Bronx.
