UPDATE Fordham Manor: Man Found Unconscious on Street Has Been Identified

THE NYPD IS asking for the public’s help identifying the man seen in the attached photograph who was found injured in the early hours of Friday morning, Nov. 11, 2022 in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx, with no formal ID on his person.

The man seen in the attached photograph, who was found unconscious in the early hours of Friday morning in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx with no formal ID on his person, has since been identified, police said.

 

The NYPD said officers from the 52nd Precinct responded to West 190th Street and Aqueduct Avenue on Friday, Nov. 11, at around 5 a.m., following a 911 call placed regarding the aided man. “Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious male lying on the ground with no apparent signs of trauma,” an NYPD spokesperson said.

 

“EMS responded and transported the aided male to St. Barnabas Hospital where the male remains in critical condition. The individual did not have any identification on his person,” the spokesperson added.

The man was described as male, Hispanic, around 30 to 40 years of age, around 5 feet, 9 inches in height, weighing around 160 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a large tattoo of the name “Sarah” on his abdomen.

 

Following feedback from readers of the Norwood News to this story, the NYPD followed up and confirmed on Monday, Nov. 14, that the man has since been identified as Carlos Nieves, 40.

      Praying for a speedy recovery, Heavenly Father I come before your throne of grace, Father God I know you got this, whatever is happening with this young man, I know that he is cover by your blood, let no weapons that form against him prosper, they will form but want prosper, cover him from the crown of his head to the bottom of his feet.
