A 42-year-old man was hospitalized on Tuesday morning, July 7, after a stabbing in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx, city officials said.
An FDNY/EMS spokesperson said that the department received a 911 call at 9.17 a.m. on Tuesday for a report of a person who was stabbed at 3053 Villa Avenue, located between Bedford Park Boulevard and East 204th Street. They said one civilian patient was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in Belmont and that their condition and description were unknown.

Meanwhile, when contacted, the NYPD said that similarly, they received a 911 call at 9.17 a.m. for a person who was stabbed in the vicinity of 3069 Villa Avenue. They said a 42-year-old male was stabbed in the abdomen and leg, apparently following a verbal dispute. They said EMS transported the victim to St. Barnabas in stable condition, there are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
Two people were seen being placed in police vehicles at the scene. Norwood News asked for further clarification from police regarding this and were informed that even if someone is placed in a police vehicle, it may not necessarily mean they are being arrested. We will share any further updates we receive.

Those being questioned are presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
One woman told Norwood News she saw the incident in its entirety and and that two males got into a fight with a third man and then both “came out with a knife” and stabbed the third man. More to follow.
Two white, blood-stained cloths, one possibly an item of clothing and one possibly a napkin, were seen on the pavement at the crime scene, alongside some other pools of blood.
